Being over 100 miles from the home, in London, I telephoned to find out how my sister was getting on, as she had been due to be moved to Warmley Court on Wednesday and I hadn’t been able yet to ascertain any news from any relative as to how she was, and did not wish to give my sister my recently acquired cold by visiting at present. Barbara answered the ‘phone, and knew immediately who I was enquiring about. She was able to tell me who had visited and when, and alerted me to a problem of a low level of communication from my sister. This was neither new nor unexpected by me. Barbara kindly asked what children my sister has, and asked for their names, presumably in the hope of stimulating some fresh responses from my sister. I was left greatly reassured in my mind that my sister is in good, caring hands and I could not have hoped for a better response from my telephone enquiry. This bodes very well for my sister’s future well-being at this home and I look forward to meeting the staff when I can visit without the risk of spreading infection. Thank you!

I can not disagree more with the last comment. My brother is resident in Hill Crest run by the same company. On my visits he always clean tidy and I am brought up to date with his status and condition. Furthermore I am contacted by management should they have anything medical or worries they may have about him. Their dealings with me are professional, and courteous . I appreciate all they do for my brother and even their time and effort keeping me updated.

my mum amy moved into this nursing home after being in a care home that couldn't deal with her needs any more. as soon as I looked around rivers way I knew it was the place I would like mum to go to... she was really quite poorly with dementia and Alzheimer's disease so we had to put a lot of trust in the staff. I found all the cares and nurses to be great with mums needs. always there too if I needed to discuss any of my concerns. they are happy for family to also make there self's at home. and always kept us up dated about my mum... sadly mum was only there for a short time. but I feel very grateful for all the care she received there.. thank you all at rivers way..
