Local libraries may offer more than you expect. As well as books and magazines, libraries lend music, DVDs and computer games. Some have coffee shops and all offer free internet access. We need to use them or we will lose them.

Fishponds Library

Robinson House, Hockey's Ln, Bristol BS16 3HL, UK – 0117 903 8560

Library is a great place. I read that a lot of libraries in Bristol are shutting due to budget cuts. Hopefully this is not one

nice library - could do with modernising a little though.

St George Library

Church Rd, Bristol BS5 8AL, UK – 0117 903 8523

Always surprising how many good books they have on the shelf.

Very friendly staff, there is a great selection of books and is very child friendly.

Kingswood Library

High Street, Kingswood, Bristol BS15 4AR, UK – 01454 868006

It's quite a small library but there is a good children's and adults section. There are a number of computers and groups are run regularly . Always clean and staff are helpful but check the opening times before you go, it is not open every day.

Small library. Toddler groups. Computers there. Staff is all right.
